Bridge City Sinners Live at The Nile Theater

The Bridge City Sinners kicked off their latest tour on Oct. 1st at the Nile Theater in Mesa, Az. Playing in direct support of Twin Temple, they took the stage to an absolutely packed house. Made up of Libby Lux (Lead vocals), Michael “King Strang” Sinner (Resonator Guitar), Lightnin’ Luke (Fiddle), Clyde McGee (Banjo), and Scott Michaud (Upright Bass), the Sinners unique blend of murder-folk and traditional punk (that’s haunted by the ghost of a backcountry jazz) brings a gene-bending appeal, which sets them up as the perfect opener for Twin Temple. Playing an expansive list of tracks off of their multiple albums, including their most recent 2021 album Unholy Hymns, the Sinners brought a raucous energy that played perfectly for new and long time fans alike. Standout tracks included “Devil Like You” (on which lead singer Libby shares vocals with Lightnin’ Luke), “Unholy Hymns”, and “The Legend of Olog-Hai”. Check out the photos below from the tour opening show below, and be sure to catch Bridge City Sinners throughout the month of October as the “Satanic Orgy USA 2022” tour brings them across the US.
