Death To All The Nile

Mesa, AZ

The band Death was and still has an enormous influence in the metal community. Chuck Schulder (RIP) was one of the main driving forces behind the band ‘Death’, and his death had a huge impact not only on the band but also left a legacy behind with some incredible music for us to look back on. Death to All is that band that brings us the essence and passion that Death brought us all those years. Essentially, a tribute band that offers everything we miss and love about ‘Death’. The one remaining member is Bobby Koeblele (guitar), along with Max Phelps (guitar vocals), Gene Hoglan (drummer), and Steve Digiorgio (bass).

The Nile in Mesa, AZ, was host to Death To All, and the place was packed. I’m not sure if it sold out, but it definitely looked that way. The only downside to living in Arizona and seeing a metal show is the heat, and as everyone packed into the venue, the heat and sweat were very much present. Death To All is straight to the point, balls to the wall metal powered by the music of ‘Death’. The crowd was rowdy, the venue was shaking, and fists and metal horns were being thrown up into the air the entire time. There were no gimmicks or fancy light shows; it was just pure death metal melting our faces off along with the 110 heat that night.

I was born and raised in the Los Angeles CA and moved to Phoenix AZ in early 2020. Growing up, I was surrounded by musicians and artists who influenced my life. I've always felt a pull towards photography and finally have the opportunity to invest in my passion. I originally started out with street photography when I was a teenager. Then a good friend of mine asked me if I could take photos of his band and now I'm doing what I love, concert photography!
