In 1940, the Golden Arches rose and no one at the time knew McDonalds would one day rule the entire world. Then, in 1970, something magical happened in the fast-food industry: Ronald Osbourne was born far, far away in an enchanted forest where hamburgers grow on trees. Flash forward to today, and MacSabbath has been making their journey across the world, destroying GMO’s and forcing all to realize that only McDonalds shall be the reigning champion over all fast-food places. The time is now to grab your favorite fries and burger!
The Nile in Mesa, Arizona was once again graced with the presence of the almighty Mac Sabbath. They’re a unique experience that one can only experience live. If you’re a fan of burgers, fries, and everything weird in life, then this is the show for you. Ronald Osbourne and company never disappoint and literally leave all their frying pans out on stage. While I would never condone the use of mushrooms, I would have to say this would probably be one of the best and worst bands to experience them on. I mean, witnessing a life-sized Grimalice should definitely be on your bucket list.
As the Nile started to fill up and the band Cybertronic ended their set, it was finally time to chow down on some tasty tunes with a side of crispy fries and grilled burgers (non GMO, of course). MacSabbath opened up the show with ‘Organic Funeral’ and played all their hits such as ‘Sweet beef’, ‘Love Buns’, and ‘Frying Pan’.
Ronald Osbourne had a lot to say and while we didn’t understand all of it, he had everyone in the venue laughing their ass off. He was a master of play-on words and making fun of other bands. Some of his targets were “Cinnabon Jovi”, “Iggy Popeye’s Chicken”, “Dairy Queensryche”, “Spinal Tapplebees”, and my favorites “Burger King Diamond”, “Almond Joy Division”, and “Bauhaus of Pancakes”. We also need to give credit to the two MacSabbath “servers” who helped keep the antics going on stage.
From keeping the mustard and ketchup bottles full, to getting burgers out from under the stage, delivering rubber chickens, to actually stealing the spotlight, they literally did it all. They even offered tasty beverages on stage with a giant 12-foot-long tube that feeds Ronald beer. To end the burger party, Ronald jumped into the crowd to crowdsurf on a giant burger floaty. MacSabbath will super size your night and not let you leave feeling like you left on an empty stomach!
