Psycho Las Vegas 2022

Psycho Las Vegas 2022 shaped up to be its wildest run as it moved into the new Resorts World Las Vegas location. With the brand-new, larger Resorts World location, it took place August 18th-21st, serving its most diverse line-up to date.

The festival officially kicked off Thursday (18th) with Psycho Swim, and had highlights all throughout the day. Bands like Starcrawler, Deathchant, Bridge City Sinners, Eyehategod and headliners Midnight all played. There was also a surprise ending with Cancer Christ closing out the night at Redtail! Friday kicked off with a bang including acts like Devil Masters, Hippie Death Cult, Leather Lung, and King Women.

Psycho Las Vegas used six different resorts World venues. The stages included the main-stage Events Center, the outdoor Ayu Dayclub, Redtail, Famous Foods Court, Dawg House, and the third-floor Rose Ballroom. Heavy metal centered on each stages bill.

Resorts World Las Vegas is venturing to the next frontier of entertainment, offering a thrill ride for festivalgoers across its six stages, featuring performances by every genre under the sun, from tropical Ayu Dayclub to Resorts World Event Center. From carefully orchestrated stage times and property-wide activations to access to the festival across the resort, a casual walk leads to an itinerary filled with endless possibilities for Psycho Las Vegas 2022. Though the Rose Ballrooms were nowhere near as packed for Suicidal Tendencies as they were for Emperor the night prior, the crossover kings made themselves right at home as the headliner of Saturday nights festivities. The main Event Center stage was a rolling barnstorm of metal, featuring MGLA, Wolves in the Throne Room, and Carcass, followed by the one-two punch of Mayhem and headliners Emperor, who packed out the venue.

On Sunday after a absolutely blistering set by High On Fire, it was finally Mercyful Fates turn on stage. Just when you thought we had reached the highest point of our waters, the point at which the waves would finally recede and recede, Mercyful Fate rolls forward. With a larger than life theatrics and sound, everybody on the Strip would know Psycho is here to stay! The days will be long, the nights will be endless, as Psychos from all over the globe come together to riot at the center of the desert oasis, where Circle Pit meets the Pool.

Buy the ticket, take the ride. Go all in, no Psycho gets left behind.

I was born and raised in the Los Angeles CA and moved to Phoenix AZ in early 2020. Growing up, I was surrounded by musicians and artists who influenced my life. I've always felt a pull towards photography and finally have the opportunity to invest in my passion. I originally started out with street photography when I was a teenager. Then a good friend of mine asked me if I could take photos of his band and now I'm doing what I love, concert photography!
