Wednesday 13 at the Nile Theater

Spring concerts are in full effect in Arizona and while we’ve near perfect weather, the temperature’s rose to new highs for March. Wednesday 13 rolled into Mesa, AZ at the Nile Theater and they definitely brought the hordes with them. Wednesday 13 has a huge following in AZ and the buzz is always strong anytime they announce a new tour. Known for their macabre lyrics and theatrical performances, Wednesday 13 invited along similarly ghoulishly incredible bands Stitched Up Heart, The Dead Rabbitts, and I Ya Toyah. No one on the bill disappointed, and everyone delivered a show that would send shivers down the spines of all in attendance.

As the lights dimmed and the eerie music filled the venue, Wednesday 13 took to the stage, commanding the attention of the crowd with his haunting presence and signature corpse-like look. With each song, he transported the audience to a world of horror and fantasy, with tales of ghosts, ghouls, and all things sinister. The energy in the room was electric as fans sang along to literally every word (outside of the new songs they debuted). The crowd was completely enthralled by this master horror storyteller. As the final notes of the night echoed and faded away in the darkness, the crowd wanted more, more, more.

I was born and raised in the Los Angeles CA and moved to Phoenix AZ in early 2020. Growing up, I was surrounded by musicians and artists who influenced my life. I've always felt a pull towards photography and finally have the opportunity to invest in my passion. I originally started out with street photography when I was a teenager. Then a good friend of mine asked me if I could take photos of his band and now I'm doing what I love, concert photography!
