Bridge City Sinners at The Van Buren

Invited along as opening support for Frank Turner’s “Undefeated” Tour, The Bridge City Sinners played to a packed Van Buren in Phoenix, Az on June 12th. Having headlined multiple tours of their own through Arizona, BCS is no stranger to the Valley, and the Valley is no stranger to them as was made very obvious by the amount of Sinners fans in attendance. Seizing upon the dual opportunity to convert the few in the audience who hadn’t heard of them and introduce those who had to a cadre of new songs, Libby (lead vocals and ukulele), Scott (upright bass), Lightnin Luke (fiddle), Clyde (banjo), and King Strang (guitar) tore through their set like demons, an electric jolt kickstarting the energy in the room. They debuted a handful of new songs live off of their upcoming album The Age of Doubt (out July 12th), including “Crazy”, which was getting wide release the day after the show. Mixing in crowd favorite’s, The Bridge City Sinners kept all eyes on them and had the crowd buzzing for more after they left the stage. Frank Turner just announced the second leg of his Undefeated tour, and you can catch Bridge City Sinner playing direct support on that upcoming leg later this summer/early fall.
